2: something that’s illegal but you think it should be legal

Same-sex marriage is always the issue I go to when I get this question. I’ve always been brought up to believe that everyone deserves the same rights, that no one is better than anyone else, that there is nothing wrong with being not heteronormative. I think it’s silly to think that people aren’t allowed to marry who they want and that the best defense that those people have seem to be that it’s destroying the “sanctity of marriage.” It rubs me the wrong way. Let people marry who they want. 

Like my Dad says, “Gays should be allowed to marry so they can be miserable like the rest of us!” 

(It’s a joke. I promise.)

I hope to keep my current relationship in good standings. I hope to get into my dream school. I hope to graduate without any regrets. I hope to do lots of art, lots of painting and singing and playing but mostly painting. I hope to keep my grades up. 

I dream of surviving to 2013 with more friends and fewer enemies. I dream of having adventures like the ones I write and dream about. I dream of being cast in fabulous productions and playing wonderful music. I dream of keeping my grades up.

I plan on finishing out my senior year on a high note. I plan on enjoying a lovely summer with friends and family, maybe even at a band camp or theatre workshop. I plan on planning for college, buying things for dorms, meeting my roommate. I plan on taking advantage of the dorms, living the college life to the fullest. I plan on not letting my scared-shitless point of view about this college thing shine through. I plan on keeping my grades up.
